A simple Love Poem

 The pressed thistle meant more -

Than the Red Roses sent, 
Or were they merely Red Flags? 
Love-bombing, Gas-lighting, 
the list could go on
The Thistle, 
Smaller, neater, more compact
But, sent with love from the heart

Quiet Frustration

I’m quietly frustrated  Not much to be said All these thoughts  Swirling round my head Taboo Subjects-  Scared to speak out loud. But, if I don’t,  It descends -  That big black cloud! Heavy with Emotion,  Issues, Junk and More!  Feeling safe at home, Don’t want to venture Out the door,  Just feel like going back to bed Fear of being rejected, So ….. Yours was not an overt love Hidden, a covert one I couldn't see where I was going The love bombs seduced me Into thinking you were the one! I've been this way before though,  More overtly But, I know both sorts now, I have a full degree in Narcology  I can see you starting to suck the life out of me, In a totally different way. A new day is dawning I need to forever break this cycle But, don't exactly know how ?  I'll storm the courts of Heaven Maybe the justest judge of all will see me right  If I follow in his footsteps and walk into the light!
