Walking from Darkness

 You put out the darkness

With your multi-coloured light. 
Radiating your rainbow like brilliance 
Illuminating the Darkness
But, casting some shadows still,
you light up the darkness 
without completely extinguishing it, 
A little light to keep us going
When the pathway is dark. 
Just one more step
On the path to enlightenment 
The true light can usurp
Your brilliance, But ..... 
you look better
Shrouded in Darkness 
The Dragon Fly 
Shines all the more, 
within the shadows 
I think I shall keep just a little dqrkness 
As I step into the light, 
and it’s shadows.
